Bio
Patricia grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York. She graduated from college with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and attended graduate school at the University of Colorado. There she met and married Mark. They raised their two children in the mountains west of Denver, Colorado, where Patricia actively volunteered in their community.
They traveled and explored Mexico, developing an appreciation for its culture and people. Thus when Mark retired from teaching high school art, they decided to expand their horizons and move south to Zacatecas, a colonial city in the desert and mountains of north central Mexico, where they have happily resided for the last ten years.
Patricia is a woman enjoying her many roles and relationships, especially her children and grandchildren. She loves to read, listen to music, travel, explore her world, especially Zacatecas and Mexico. She finds pleasure in walking, cooking, studying cultures, mythology, and cosmology.
This weaver is partially self-taught and partially the beneficiary of many workshops offered by the Handweavers Guild of Boulder, CO and its fiber community.
Weaving tapestries and creating other fiber expressions is absolutely essential to her well-being.
